To bold text in PowerPoint, first, select the text that you wish to bold. Then, click on the Home tab. Next, click on the B icon under the Fonts section of the Home Ribbon to add bold formatting to the selected text. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B.
Bullet formatting is separate from font formatting. The bold command does nothing that affects bullets. To create a heavy bullet, youll have to enlarge the existing bullet, or choose a different bullet character, perhaps from a different font.
To prevent the numbering from being bolded, insert a zero-width space (Unicode 200B, accessible through the InsertSymbol command) between the number and the text, then select the text (except for the space) and bold it. If you like, you can make a suggestion at the PowerPoint User Voice forum.
Click in the list to which you want to add picture bullets or symbols. To change an entire list level in a multilevel list, click one bullet or number at that level in the list. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow next to Bullets, and then click Define New Bullet.
Use a Bold Reveal Animation Select the text on your slide, go to the Animations tab, and open the Animation collection with the arrow. Choose Bold Reveal in the Emphasis section. Your text then turns bold from left to right and then returns to its original state after the animation finishes.
To format it Press the Home key (CMD + Left arrow on Mac) to make sure you are at the true beginning of the line. Hold down SHIFT and press the right arrow key once. Now you have selected it, you can make it bold, change the font and so on, and you will see those changes reflected in the numbers.
