Yes, 5114.3 and 54.5 are the same bolt pattern; the only difference is the unit they are measured in. The 5114.3 bolt pattern is measured in metric, while the 54.5 is measured in inches.
For example, a bolt pattern in metric, lets say 5x114. 3, is equal to 5x4. 5 in inches, because 114.3 divided with 25.4 = 4.5, easy, dont you agree?
The industry standard bolt pattern is 5 lug on 4.5 (545) with 5 lug on 5 (550) following in second. Option 1 is usually easier to do while the wheel is still mounted on the axle. With both options to measure the bolt pattern you will still end up with the correct bolt pattern.
How to Find the Markings. Wheel markings can be found on the backside of the hub or spokes. Sometimes they can also be found on the inside edge of the rim.
Finding the Bolt Circle Diameter If your wheel has an even number of bolts, then take a tape measure and measure from the center of 1 lug nut to the center of the lug nut directly across from it. Regardless of how many lug nuts your wheel has, if its an even number, you can measure the diameter this way.
While the numbers are different, the wheels themselves feature the same exact bolt pattern. So if youre on the hunt for 5x4. 5 wheels and someone says you really need a 5x114. 3, youll know that youre both talking about the same thing.
5-lug patterns consist of the following: 598, 5100, 5108, 5110, 5112, 5114.3, 5115, 5120, 5120.7, 5127, 5130, 5135, 5139.7, 5150, 5155, 5165.1 and 5205.
Common 5 Bolt Patterns for Trailer Wheels The most common 5 bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2. However, 5 bolt patterns also come 5 on 4-3/4, 5 on 5, and 5 on 5-1/2. It is important to know the bolt pattern before you buy new wheels to ensure a proper fit.
5x114. 3 is compatible with 5x4. 5, so, almost every Ford or Chrysler product plus who knows how many imports.
Most trailers on the road have a 4, 5 or 6 Lug pattern. A very common designation for a trailer wheel would be 5 on 4.5. This means that the hub has 5 bolts spaced evenly on a 4-1/2 circle (see 5-lug diagram).
