So when we look at these two tools and add the text to the drawing. But before we do, lets talk about the standard text for our drawing the standard text size that were going to use is 1/8 (0.125) 0.125 in this example youll notice that the spacing in our title block is 1/4 0.25 To get the text vertically between the two horizontal lines we have to add the spacing below and above the text. Which is 1/16 0.0625 As you read your instructions in your hand out it will tell you to set your snap to 0.625 so as we go through this exercise this has already been set. Create text in a title block On the toolbar, select Text Text . Click to specify the first corner. Click to specify the opposite corner. The text editor displays. In the Text dialog, specify text settings. Type text into the text editor. Format text as needed. Click Close.
To insert a title block, follow these steps: First, locate or download a Title Block template. Open up a blank drawing and click on the Layout tab on the bottom left corner. Click Modify and you will be presented with a pop up window. Click on the Insert tab and then on the Insert button on the far left side.
