hi this is chip wood preview is a PDF viewer and Ill show you how to redact or highlight a PDF and then lock it ctrl click on your PDF and select preview to open it if preview is your default viewer just double click the icon click show markup toolbar and here you have your fonts this is filled color here are your borders and here line thickness go to the shapes icon and select the square to make this box easier to see well add a border and make it thinner to move the box grab a border now adjust it to fit the text click outside the box and note that if you quit now youve highlighted a portion of the text if you ever need to do that but lets continue by double clicking the box go to fill color and select black now will eliminate the border you can use the adjustment handles to resize the box and move it if you want to be less obvious about the redaction change the fill color to white creating a blank space and just quickly you can redact an image even more easily just click and dr
