To protect your information, learn how to redact in Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
Once the text is selected, click on the B button in the formatting toolbar. This will instantly make the selected text bold. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + B (Windows) or Command + B (Mac) to quickly make the text bold.
Go to Edit Preferences, and click Accessibility from the available drop-down options in the Categories section. You can also use the Ctrl + K shortcut for the same. Check the box next to Replace Document Colors. Choose High-Contrast Colors, and select the one you want from the list of available drop-down options.
Click the part of the PDF you want to darken. Edit the object with Photoshop, GIMP or another image editing tool that has options to adjust the contrast or change the brightness. To get there, go to Tools Content Editing Edit Text and Images and right-click on the page to edit in with your image editor.
Open up a pdf document using the docHub app and then choose the following option: Edit - Preferences Finally, highlight the Accessibility option on the left hand side and the following window will be displayed: The blue oval shows where the high contrast options are.
If you have access to the original file, removing redactions in a PDF is easy. Open Acrobat Pro and select the PDF file. Click on the Edit tab at the top of the screen. Select Redact Text Images. Once you remove the redactions, the colored bars will go away, revealing the information underneath.
