TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
Active Directory Log in to your DNS Server and go to Start Administrative Tools. Select DNS and expand the Forward Lookup Zones folder. Right-click the domain you want to add the TXT record to and select Other New Records. The Resource Record Type window appears. The New Resource Record window appears. Click OK.
How to lookup TXT records on Windows. To check the TXT records for a certain domain name on Windows, follow these steps: Open a command prompt by navigating to Start Type here to search cmd Open. Type nslookup -q=txt example.com and hit [enter] to get the TXT records for example.com .
How to Create a TXT Record Navigate to Managed DNS. Once signed into the DNS Made Easy Control Panel, select Managed DNS from the DNS dropdown menu at the top of the screen. Select the domain for the TXT record. Select the domain for which you will be adding the TXT record. Add a TXT record. Enter the TXT record values.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
The DNS text (TXT) record lets a domain administrator enter text into the Domain Name System (DNS). The TXT record was originally intended as a place for human-readable notes. However, now it is also possible to put some machine-readable data into TXT records.
If you have multiple domains to verify, you will need to add a text record for each domain. Step 1: Log in to your DNS Management Interface. Step 2: Find the DNS Records Section. Step 3: Add a New TXT Record. Step 4: Save or Publish Changes. Step 5: Verify the TXT Record.
