Open the two files you want to merge. Select all text (Command+A/Ctrl+A) from one document, then paste it into the new document (Command+V/Ctrl+V). Repeat steps for the second document. This will finish combining the text of both documents into one.

Use Preview to combine PDFs on your Mac Open a PDF in Preview. Choose View Thumbnails to show page thumbnails in the sidebar. To indicate where to insert the other document, select a page thumbnail. Choose Edit Insert Page from File.* From the file dialog, select the PDF that you want to add, then click Open.
How to combine and merge your files into one PDF: Open Acrobat to combine files: Open the Tools tab and select Combine files. Add files: Click Add Files and select the files you want to include in your PDF. You can merge PDFs or a mix of PDF documents and other files.
You can also click near the first item, press and hold the trackpad or mouse button, then drag over all of the items. This methods especially useful in the Icon view in the Finder. Select all items in a window: Click a window to make it active, then press Command-A.
