Each cell has several conditional formatting rules. The order is critical since the format stops at the first rule thats true. For example is less than 0, red, if cell A B, bold, etc. When copy/paste the group of cells with condformat, the rule order changes and therefore the result changes.
On the HOME tab, in the Styles group, click the arrow next to Conditional Formatting, and then click Manage Rules. Select a rule. To move the selected rule up in precedence, click Move Up. Optionally, to stop rule evaluation at a specific rule, select the Stop If True check box.
