Click on the DESIGN tab. Open the drop-down menu named Add Chart Element in the Chart Layouts group. If you work in Excel 2010, go to the Labels group on the Layout tab. Choose Chart Title and the position where you want your title to display.
To easily update a chart or axis title, label, or text box that you have added to a chart, you can link it to a worksheet cell. Changes that you make to the data in that worksheet cell will automatically appear in the chart.
In the formula bar, type an equal sign (=). In the worksheet, select the cell that contains the data that you want to display in the title, label, or text box on the chart. Press ENTER.
Use CONCATENATE to create a Chart Title That way in case the chart is ever copied and pasted into an email, Word document, or PowerPoint presentation the inputs to the calculations will be known. The CONCATENATE function can be used to create a descriptive title in a cell on the worksheet.
Edit the chart title Tap the chart, tap. , then tap Chart. Turn on Title. To change the alignment of the titleso that its on the left of the chart, for exampletap Style, then choose an alignment option. To edit the title, select the text, type a new title, then tap Done.
Steps to Create Dynamic Chart Title in Excel Select chart title in your chart. Go to the formula bar and type =. Select the cell which you want to link with chart title. Hit enter.
You cant use formula in chart title, but you can link it with a cell having a formula. If you want to enter a line break in chart title you can create that line break in the cell you are linking to.
