Generally, the reading comprehension section of the LSAT is the easiest section to figure out why the correct answer is, in fact, correct. However, if you still dont understand, PLEASE ask someone for help!
5 Tips for LSAT Reading Comprehension Take notes as you read. Dont skim. Keep in mind that Details support Functions. Look for the big picture, not the details. Keep an eye out for concessions.
On the other hand, Reading Comprehension is the generally the most difficult section to improve. That is because your reading speed plays a big role in how well you perform, and reading speed is challenging to substantially increase in a short period of time.
Highlight Methodically Take a more systematic approach to highlighting. The digital LSAT gives you a range of visually distinct tools at your disposal: underlining as well as pink, yellow and orange highlighters.
Also, be aware that you can annotate almost everything on the digital LSAT platform, but you cannot annotate an eliminated or collapsed answer. If you want to annotate an answer that you plan to collapse (by highlighting the word you think is a red flag, for example), annotate it first.
There is no set order for where the paired passage appears or order for the passages in general. In other words, the passages dont necessarily become more difficult as you progress through the exam. Each question in the section will have five answer choices.
While the digital LSAT platform lets you highlight, underline, flag questions, and eliminate answers, you cant make freehand annotations on screen.
As mentioned earlier, you have roughly 8-9 minutes to read a passage and answer 6-8 questions on each one. As with all LSAT sections, time management is key to do well. The goal is to be able to read through and comprehend the full passage in under four minutes. The closer you can get to three minutes, the better.
