In docHub, you can disable copy paste by applying password protection and PDF restrictions to a PDF file. To do this, in the permissions settings check the box Restrict Editing and un-check Enabling copying text. Then save the PDF file.
Go to the Protect PDF tool. Drag and drop your PDF into the toolbox. Type the password youd like to set. Click Encrypt PDF to add the password to the PDF.
On Windows, just right-click your PDF and select Properties Read-only OK. On a Mac computer, the process is a little more complex. Select the PDF and click File Get Info. You can then set access rights under the Sharing Permissions tab.
Right-click your PDF in Windows File Explorer and select Make Secure PDF. Click on the Printing and Viewing tab and uncheck Allow printing. If it is already unchecked, then you dont need to do anything users will not be able to print your confidential documents.
On Windows, just right-click your PDF and select Properties Read-only OK. On a Mac computer, the process is a little more complex. Select the PDF and click File Get Info. You can then set access rights under the Sharing Permissions tab.
You must have the password to the secured PDF and proper permissions in order to open and copy it. When using Chrome, open the PDF, then click the Print icon. Select Save as PDF, then Save. When using Acrobat Pro, open the PDF file and enter the password.
If you already know how to copy and paste text, you can do so just as you normally would. A read-only file doesnt prevent you from copying, pasting or altering the text. It only prevents you from saving the changes. To copy and paste, go to Edit and choose Select all. Word will highlight all the text.
Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.
Click the Select a file button above or drag and drop a PDF into the drop zone. Enter a password, then retype it to confirm the password. Click Set password. Download the password protected PDF document or sign in to share it.
Adding dynamic watermarks can also help prevent copying. A watermarked document with the recipients name can deter users from sharing printed copies as it identifies them as the source.
