Change the column width to automatically fit the contents (auto fit) Select the column or columns that you want to change. On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format. Under Cell Size, click AutoFit Column Width.
AutoFit Columns and Rows Using the Ribbon In Excel, using the Ribbon option you can autofit the text by following the given steps: Choose one or all the columns given on the sheet to AutoFit column width. For this, you need to go to the Home tab Cells group Format AutoFit Column Width.
To change the font size: Select the cell or cells you want to modify. Locate and select the Font Size button in the toolbar, then choose the desired font size from the drop-down menu. In our example, we will choose 14 to make the text larger. The text will change to the new font size.
To use the autofit shortcut, simply select the column or row that you want to adjust, then press the autofit shortcut keys. For columns, the shortcut keys are Alt + H + O + I. For rows, the shortcut keys are Alt + H + O + R.
Right-click the row number or column letter. Click Resize row or Resize column. Then, choose an option: Enter a custom height or width.
You can autofit your columns in Google sheets by double-clicking on the column header. As with Excel, position your mouse at the right side of the column you wish to size. Double-click to autofit the column width to the widest contents of the column.
