hello everyone this is Ian Lamont im the author of Google Drive and Docs in 30 minutes today gonna be talking about something called office compatibility mode for Google Docs and basically this is a feature in Google Docs that lets you edit Microsoft Word documents which of course is a really useful feature to have you dont need to get Microsoft Word in order to edit it but there are some limitations as I will describe shortly lets get started the first thing you need to know about using Google Docs in office compatibility mode in order to edit Microsoft Word documents is you need a special extension to find extensions you go to the chrome menu go to window and choose extensions and youll be presented with a list of all of the extensions which are like little plugins that are attached to Chrome to make it do extra things and if you scroll down you can take a look and see if you already have it installed maybe you do its called office editing for Docs sheets and slides now if you

There are 4 types of text alignments which are left-aligned, center-aligned, right-aligned, and justified.
Restrict Editing Click Review Protect Restrict Editing. Under Editing restrictions, select Allow only this type of editing in the document, and make sure the list says No changes (Read only). Select Yes, Start Enforcing Protection.
Click on the Picture Position tab. Under both the Horizontal and Vertical selections, select Absolute Position, and pick Page from the drop-down menu at the right. Also, click on the checkbox that says Lock anchor. Now, your pictures wont move around the page.
Follow these steps below to lock the text box anchor: Select the textbox. Go to Format Tab which would be highlighted. Click on Position tile. More layout options Check on Lock anchor Done.
How to Adjust Paragraph Alignment in Word Click anywhere in a paragraph you want to align, or select multiple paragraphs. Click an alignment option in the Paragraph group. Shortcuts: To align left, press Ctrl + L. To align right, press Ctrl + R. To align center, press Ctrl + C. To justify, Ctrl + J.
Change paragraph alignment On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. Select the paragraph you want to change. At the top, choose an alignment option.
On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Protect Document, and then click Restrict Formatting and Editing. In the Editing restrictions area, select the Allow only this type of editing in the document check box. In the list of editing restrictions, click No changes (Read only).
This can happen because of a large indentation value is applied. Firstly, click on the cell which you can type texts or data. Secondly, click the expand button in Paragraph group under Home tab to open the Paragraph dialog box.
With the text box selected, choose Text BoxPositionMore Layout Options and check the Lock anchor option.
Open a Word document that has text boxes. Click the Review tab, then click the Restrict Editing button in the Protect group.
