Go to File Page Setup. Then check No Printer (optimize for screen display) as well as Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size. These options will allow you to explicitly state the size of the report and will allow Acctivate to pull the report in that size no matter what printer is selected.
To do this, go to File Page Setup in the dialogue that opens, change the Size dropdown from Letter to A4.
To open Page Layout option in Crystal Report, go to File Page Setup. This option allows you to choose page options like: Paper size, paper width, paper height, and margins (left, right, top and bottom).
Launch Crystal Reports, and select the report. Click File Printer Setup Properties. Click Custom, and then click the Custom button. Enter the custom height and width of the paper.
Text-based RPT files can be opened with any text editor, like the Notepad program built-in to Windows. The free Notepad++ tool is another option, and there are plenty of others that work similarly.
In most cases, RPT stands for report. A file with a RPT file extension will likely contain some report data. RPT files are often created by some version of SAP Crystal Reports, though it may simply contain ASCII text data, or it may be created by some other company and contain some other proprietary report format.
