View source code Click the menu icon. on the browser toolbar. Select More tools, then View Source.
Place your cursor in your Word document where you want to paste it. Then go to the Home tab, click the Paste drop-down arrow, and choose Paste Special. Select HTML Format and click OK. When the code appears in your document, you can format the font or the snippet if you like.
Open Google Docs and create a new document. With the document open, click Add-ons and select Code Blocks from the menu. A new right sidebar will open (Figure A), where you can make use of the tool. Code Blocks is installed and ready to go.
Select JavaScript from the first drop-down menu. Then you can also select a theme from the Theme drop-down menu. Press the Format button to add the syntax highlighting to the code as shown below. Now the JavaScript text is much clearer with its markup tags highlighted.
Turn the display of formatting marks on or off Go to File Options Display. Under Always show these formatting marks on the screen, select the check box for each formatting mark that you always want to display regardless if the Show/Hide. button is turned on or off.
End users: To format and display code in a Doc, select Insert Building blocks Code blocks choose your programming language or search @ Code blocks choose your programming language. Visit the Help Center to learn more about inserting smart chips building blocks in your Google Doc.
From the main menu, go to Add-ons - Code Blocks - Start to bring up the Code Blocks sidebar. Type the programming code in your Google Doc.
Format text Select the text you want to format. To select a single word, double-click it. To select a line of text, click to the left of it. Select an option to change the font, font size, font color, or make the text bold, italic, or underline.
Do one of the following: To align the text left, press Ctrl+L. To align the text right, press Ctrl+R. To center the text, press Ctrl+E.
Insert a code block On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. You can either: Click Insert Building blocks Code block. Type @. Under Building blocks, click Code block . Select a code block language.
