[Music] hey guys welcome back to how to diesel so in my last video I broke down an S cam brake assembly and I forgot that I never showed how to actually adjust the s camp so if you dont know what Im talking about go back to the last video and watch it but so essentially were going to adjust something called the slack adjuster which is not something that I went over in the last video but I did explain the S cam the S came with that little S that was sitting on the rollers that actually pushed the shoes out and expanded them to the drum so this right here is called the slack adjuster this piece right here this whole assembly thats slack adjuster so its connected up to the push rod for our braking diaphragm and what it does is its actually so this bit right here oh I cant see this right here is actually a piece of its the end of the S cam shaft so what it is theres a worm gear in there that connects to the grip the the teeth on the back of the S cam shaft and what it does is it
