These issues can occur when you open a PDF file in docHub Reader instead of docHub, which is used for editing PDF file. Note: If the PDF file is password protected, you need to have the document open password and the change permissions password to edit the PDF/PDF Portfolio.
Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File Properties Security.) Make sure that the PDF includes interactive, or fillable, form fields. Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand.
You have to uncheck the Locked box at the bottom and then uncheck Read Only. You can then lock the box again. This will have the fields show up and allow changes to be made to it.
Select the Options tab page on the List Box Properties dialog. Enter items that will be used as the options for the selection. Enter the item names and export values. Press the Add button to create a new choice in the Item List.

For help you may press the F1 key while viewing a form. button in the upper right hand corner of the menu bar of the PDF form. After clicking this button the Fillable Fields within the form will be highlighted in a light blue color which will allow you to enter your information within these fields.
From the top menu, select View Tools Pages You will now see a toolbox on the right - use these tools to edit your document as needed. Go to Tools Recognize Text In This File Save the file. You can now copy and paste text from your PDF and search through it.
How to create fillable PDF forms with Acrobat. Open Acrobat. Click on the Tools tab and select Prepare Form. Select a file or scan a document. Acrobat will automatically analyze your document and add form fields. Add new form fields. Save your fillable PDF.
