hey its something student here and today going to showcase a program where were going to have as you can see right here a text just asking whats your name we dont have a button and were then going to add an input text field where we can input some text in this case a name and its going to say hey and then the name given so i am using android studios and java so in the previous videos weve been creating this program where it doesnt text we have a button and we now have a button with a gradient which looks kinda decent at least so to get some text input were gonna use this palette for now and we have our text areas im just gonna add a plain text right there and were going to have a look at what it actually creates i am going to remove the absolute positions and i am going to remove the text so the text field is going to be empty for now and we have an id which is something random lets just call it input text and im then gonna use constraints to center it both on the rights
