The sidebar window is located on the right side of the edit views of Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Base. It contains one or more panels, based on the current document context. Panels are organized into decks. A tab bar on the right side of the sidebar allows to switch between different decks.
To create a new line style: Choose Format Line from the menu bar. Select from the Line style drop‑down menu a style similar to the desired one. Click Add.
Click on the Page tab and change the page orientation to Landscape by clicking on the corresponding radio button. You may also make other changes to the page style, if needed (such as adjusting the margin sizes). Click OK. The new style will appear as one of the page style choices.
To vertically align the text in specific cells: Place the cursor in the cell you wish to change, or click and drag to select multiple cells. Right-click in the selected area and select Cell Center, Top, or Bottom in the pop-up menu to vertically align the text as desired.
OpenOffice Calc Select the cells you want to add a border to. Click Format and click Cells. Click the Borders tab. Click the icon that corresponds to the borders you want in the Line Arrangement section. Customize your borders in the Line and Spacing to Contents sections. Click OK to insert your borders.
To insert lines, you have the following options: Type hyphen - three times and then press Enter to insert a line like below: Type underscore three times and then press Enter to insert a line like below: Type asterisk * three times and then press Enter to insert a line like below:
Drawing a straight line on the Drawing toolbar and place the mouse pointer at the point where you want to start the line (see Figure 3). Drag the mouse while keeping the mouse button pressed. Release the mouse button at the point where you want to end the line.
Formatting the page Select Format Page Select the Page tab in the dialog that appears. Set the paper size. Specify the page orientation by click on the checkbox next to Portrait or Landscape. Adjust the margins, if needed. Set the table alignment to align the table to the page.
