This video tutorial demonstrates how to implement radio buttons in a radio group within an Android app. To begin, create a new project named "Radio Buttons" and wait for the environment to load. In the layout XML file, locate the radio group and radio button widgets. In this demo, the output will be displayed in a text box instead of using text. Adjust the text size as needed. Concentrate on the layout as the app appears on the right-hand side.

Note that tags only create the radio button element, not the label. To label a radio button, add a element after the element and insert a for attribute with the same value as the id of the associated element. Then, write your label text in the tag.
A radio group is a set of checkable buttons, known as radio buttons, where no more than one of the buttons can be checked at a time.
For creating dynamic RadioButton, we need to use android. view. ViewGroup. LayoutParams which configures the width and height of views and implements setOnCheckedChangeListener() method of RadioGroup class.
To create each radio button option, create a RadioButton in your layout. Because radio buttons are mutually exclusive, group them inside a RadioGroup . The system ensures that only one radio button within a group can be selected at a time.
Then to get the text of the selected radio button, we have used getText() method on that selected radio button. The text we receive from this method is converted to String type using the toString() method. Finally, we have displayed the selected option value to the user using a Toast.
For this, open the MainActivity. java file and instantiate the components made in the XML file (RadioGroup, TextView, Clear, and Submit Button) using findViewById() method. This method binds the created object to the UI Components with the help of the assigned ID. Button submit = (Button)findViewById(R.
In android, CheckBox control allow users to change the state of control either Checked or Unchecked but the radio button cannot be unchecked once it is checked. Generally, we can use RadioButton controls in an android application to allow users to select only one option from the set of values.
Checkboxes and radio buttons are elements for making selections. Checkboxes allow the user to choose items from a fixed number of alternatives, while radio buttons allow the user to choose exactly one item from a list of several predefined alternatives.
