The video demonstrates how to add or delete a page in a PDF file using Preview on a Mac. By pressing two fingers open in Preview, go to the sidebar and select contact sheet to see all pages. To delete a page, simply press delete. To add a page, drag another PDF page inside. This allows for easy manipulation of PDF pages in Preview.

Press Control (on Windows) or Command (on Mac) and click on the pages you want to extract. Right-click on the selected pages. Choose Extract Pages In the new dialog box, check Extract Pages As Separate Files if you want each page as a separate PDF.
If you cant delete pages from PDFs using Preview, then the PDF youre trying to edit may be restricted. While you can do basic editing with Preview, Macs built-in app cannot remove Password Protections on PDFs if there are any. These PDF documents use a Permission Password, meaning theyre owner-protected.
Delete a page from a PDF: Choose View Thumbnails or View Contact Sheet, select the page or pages to delete, then press the Delete key on your keyboard (or choose Edit Delete). When you delete a page from a PDF, all the annotations on the page are removed as well.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF you want to copy from. Do any of the following: Copy text: Choose Tools Text Selection, drag over the text, then choose Edit Copy. Copy a portion of text vertically: Choose Tools Text Selection, hold down the Option key as you select the text, then choose Edit Copy.
Take these steps to split a PDF on your Mac using Preview: Open your PDF in the Preview app. Open the thumbnail view and select the page or pages you would like to separate. Drag and drop the pages to your desktop or to another folder.
Delete a page from a PDF: Choose View Thumbnails or View Contact Sheet, select the page or pages to delete, then press the Delete key on your keyboard (or choose Edit Delete).
How to extract pages from a PDF Open the Organize Pages tool. Click the Select a File button. Open a PDF you want to extract pages from. Select Extract in the top menu. Highlight pages you want to extract. Click Extract to extract the selected pages. Save your new PDF.
