In Notes app on iOS 17 and later, you can embed PDF documents, annotate, and draw on them. Use markup tools to cross off items in a list and scan paper documents into Notes by pressing three dots on the top toolbar, then Scan Document. Simply hold your phone above the document to scan it. Drag and drop the scan into your note and use markup tools without opening the PDF. Insert PDF documents from your phone into Notes as well.
