To fix Microsoft Edge not opening PDF files, open Edge and click on the three horizontal dots at the top right, then go to Settings. In the left menu, click on Cookies and Site Permissions, scroll down on the right side to find PDF documents. Make sure 'Always download PDF files' is turned off and PDF view settings is turned on. If this doesn't work, search for Default Apps in the search box and search for .pdf. If Microsoft Edge is not set as the default PDF opening app, click on it and set it as the default app.
