to crap a JPEG you can go to file Place image choose your image and then with it selected go to the trace window and your contrast needs to be all the way up to 255 add image layer checked and then come over here to the drop down and choose crop and then you can crop out whatever it is that you want uh cropped out and then choose okay and it will crop it out okay now you can also choose a shape and place it on top of your image and you can lower your opacity to see whats behind it so you can get it in the right spot and then select both and go to object clip path set clip path the only thing with this is it leaves that transparency around there which is okay you can overlap it as long as youre not overlapping your cut lines its not going to print or cut this Square thats around it if I show you your cut lines you can see its only cutting that square so when youre aligning that you can overlap that um transparent part but you cant have the cut lines overlapped okay so thats it
