If you want to show edits made in a document, turn on Track Changes. Select Review, Track Changes, and Word captures any edits you make. To turn off Track Changes, select Track Changes. Word stops making new edits, and any made stay in the document. You can always see markups that someone makes. Select Display for Review and select the option you want. Simple Markup points out where changes are with a red line in the margin, All Markup shows all edits with different colors of text and lines, No Markup hides markup to show what the incorporated changes will look like, and Original shows the document in its original form, and in the Show Markup list, you can select the type of revisions youd like to see, such as Comments, Insertions and Deletions, Formatting, Balloons, and Specific People.

To format a message, select Format , where you can: Select Bold. to enter bold text. Select Italic. to enter italic text. Select Underline. to enter underlined text. Select Strikethrough. to strikethrough text. Select Highlighter. Select Font Color. Select Font size. Select Rich style editor.
How to Strikethrough Text in Word Highlight the text that you want to strikethrough in Word. Click the button that has a strikethrough ab or press Alt + H + 4 at the same time. See your strikethrough text.
Use your mouse to select the text you want to be crossed out. Click Format Text. Its in the editing ribbon above your editing space. Click the Strikethrough button to apply a single-line strikethrough.
Control-5 or Alt-Shift-5 are the most common so maybe the easiest to remember. After that close both windows and youre good to go.
While your text is highlighted, in Outlooks ribbon at the top, select the Format Text tab. In the Format Text tab, from the Font section, select the Strikethrough option (a line crossing ab). And the strikethrough effect has been successfully applied to your chosen text.
If youre looking to apply the strikethrough effect in your Word document on a Windows PC, simply select your text in the document and press Alt+H+4. (You dont have to press all these keys at once; its okay to press one after another.). On a Mac, youll press Command+Shift+X.
Select the text that you want to format. Go to Home Strikethrough.
On a PC, use the following shortcut to strike through text: Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D. A font dialog box will appear. Press Alt+K. The strikethrough feature should now be selected. Press OK. The text will now have a line through it.
