heres a tutorial on how to enable scripts to run from your own computer using Internet Explorer for example here I have an HTM file and if I open it with notepad here you can see the content of that HTM file this is a basic JavaScript okay and if I try to run the file using Internet Explorer I get this error message every time that Internet Explorer restricted this web page from running scripts or Activa controls okay and allow blocked content has to be clicked and after that that uh text or data is displayed okay and if I run it once more the same button has to be pressed and so on okay to solve this problem lets open interet Explorer once again lets go here to the tools menu and internet options then go to Advanced and scroll down until you see this lock sign and check allow active content to run in files on my computer so this will allow the script to run on the local computer click okay close the Page open it again and voila this time its shown and that warning is not displayed
