Yes, you can put Microsoft Office on a Chromebook. While its true that Windows or Mac software cant be directly installed on a Chromebook -- including the desktop versions of Office apps -- thats not the only option when it comes to using Microsofts suite of productivity software.
From Google Drive, locate and select the New button, then choose the type of file you want to create. In our example, well select Google Docs to create a new document. Your new file will appear in a new tab on your browser. Locate and select Untitled document in the upper-left corner.
You can access Chrome Autofill in pretty much the same way, whether youre using the Chrome app for iOS or Android devices. Just tap the three dots on your Chrome app and select Settings. Then, select Addresses and more. This will give you access to autofill for saving and filling addresses.
You can access your Microsoft 365 apps from the web including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, and Outlook. The web apps allow you to: Create, edit, and collaborate on documents and files.

Does Chromebook have Word? Chromebooks dont have Word, but have Chrome browser-based apps for document processing, such as Google Docs. They allow you to create and edit various documents, including word and spreadsheets, and store them in the cloud.
I use a Acer Spin 713. If youre only wanting to write on a laptop, then a Chromebook is probably all you need. It wont have a very fast CPU, or very much memory or storage space, but it has a screen and a keyboard and a full-featured word-processing app, courtesy of Google Docs, and cloud storage.
