To work with amount fields in Business Central, you input amounts in the same field regardless of debit or credit. Use a sign to indicate the type of amount. By default, Amount and Amount in Local Currency are shown, but you can change settings to display debit/credit amounts. To do this, go to the General Ledger Setup page using the Tell Me search. Click Show Model to expand the list of fields, then select different options for the Show Amounts field.
