To insert field codes into Word document, you can do it directly by typing the code within curly brackets, such as date or time. Alternatively, you can use the Insert tab, click on Explore Quick Parts, then select Field to add the desired code, like time format. Press Ctrl + F9 or Control Function + F9 keys to insert empty field code. Click on Update to add the date or time to the document.
