You can add a watermark to your slides, even though PowerPoint doesnt have an automatic way to do this like other apps. Well start by adding a text background for a watermark effect by selecting View, Slide Master. Select the first slide. To make a change to all slides without changing the content, select Insert, Text Box. Drag to draw a text box, then type the text you want in the box. Format the text the way you want it to appear. Select the rotation handle above the text and move your mouse right or left. Change the text color to a lighter tone and position it. Select Slide Master, Close Master View to see the watermark.

Watermarks are small elements or images that are inserted into digital creations to help identify whos the author, preventing plagiarism. If you want to learn how to insert a watermark into your PowerPoint presentation, this tutorial will teach you in no time!
To change the alignment of your watermark text, click and hold the rotation handle at the top of the text box while you move your mouse left or right. Select the text in the text box. Choose a light font fill color, and then make any other changes that you want to the font and style.
Heres how to remove the picture background or watermark from your slides. On the View menu, select Master Slide Master. In the thumbnail pane on the left, click any slide layouts that have the picture watermark you want to remove. On the Slide Master tab, click Background Styles. Click Format Background.
Click the HOME tab, click Select, and open the Selection Pane. Click the Show/Hide button for each object. If you find the watermark, you can leave it hidden, or press Delete. If you dont see it on the slide, check the slide master.
Click the Insert tab at the top of the PowerPoint window. Click the Header and Footer icon in the Insert menu at the top. Uncheck the Footer option to remove the footer from your PowerPoint slide.
If the watermark doesnt appear on one of your slides, on the Format menu, click Slide Background, and then make sure that the Hide Background Graphics check box is not selected. If you want the watermark to appear on only one slide, create the watermark in normal view.
If inserting a watermark on some pages causes it to disappear on others, try using a custom watermark to put the watermark on all pages. Tip: If you already have a watermark, remove it, or youll have two on the same page. Go to Design Watermark Custom Watermark.

Navigate to Slide Master Tab - if you are not already in Slide Master view, navigate to the Slide Master tab on the top ribbon. Select Lock Shapes from the top ribbon. The file will close briefly then re-open. Once re-opened the PowerPoint watermark will be locked to the Master Slides to prevent editing or removal.
In PowerPoint, you can put a text background in your slides to get that watermark effect. To add a watermark to all the slides, Select View Slide Master. Select Insert Text Box, and then click and drag to draw the text box on the slide master. Type the watermark text (such as DRAFT) in the text box.
