Create a watermark Tap on the header and on the Design tab on the ribbon, click Picture in the Header Footer Elements group. Select one of the available options to insert your image. In the header, youll see [Picture]. Tap anywhere outside the header to see the watermark.
Switch to Page Layout view (go to VIEW - Page Layout in the Ribbon or click the Page Layout view button on the Status bar at the bottom of your Excel window). Click the WordArt icon in the Text group on the INSERT tab. Select the style. Type the text that you want to use for the watermark.
How to Add a Text Watermark in Excel Open the Excel document where you want to insert a watermark. Go to the ribbon area, click on the Insert tab, click on Text, then click Header Footer. Now, enter your watermark text where you have the blinking cursor in the header section.
On the Layout tab, under Page Setup, click Header Footer. Click Customize Header, and then click the section of the sheet header in which the watermark appears. Select the watermark, and then press DELETE . Click OK, and then click OK to close the Page Setup dialog box.
To make changes to your watermark, you can also: Right-click the watermark. Click Select watermark. Below the watermark, click Edit watermark.
Working with watermarks in Excel is no exception. There is no built-in watermark feature, so instead, youll have to insert an image into your spreadsheet and then tweak it a bit. The place to add your image is in the header. To do this, go to the Insert tab and click Header Footer.
On the Layout tab, under Page Setup, click Header Footer. Click Customize Header, and then click the section of the sheet header in which the watermark appears. Select the watermark, and then press DELETE . Click OK, and then click OK to close the Page Setup dialog box.
Double-click near the top of the page to open the header. Double-click the watermark to open Format Picture, and then select the Picture tab. Try selecting Picture Transparency or Picture Corrections.
