Simply do the following: Select the cell with the formula and the adjacent cells you want to fill. Click Home Fill, and choose either Down, Right, Up, or Left. Keyboard shortcut: You can also press Ctrl+D to fill the formula down in a column, or Ctrl+R to fill the formula to the right in a row.
Insert the same data into multiple cells using Ctrl+Enter Select all the blank cells in a column. Press Ctrl+Enter instead of Enter. All the selected cells will be filled with the data that you typed.
Fix data that is cut off in cells Select the cells. On the Home tab, click Wrap Text. The text in the selected cell wraps to fit the column width. When you change the column width, text wrapping adjusts automatically. Note: If all wrapped text is not visible, it might be because the row is set to a specific height.
In a worksheet, select the cells that you want to format. On the Home tab, in the Alignment group, click Wrap Text. (On Excel for desktop, you can also select the cell, and then press Alt + H + W.)
To start working in Edit mode, do one of the following: Double-click the cell that contains the data that you want to edit. AutoFit Columns and Rows Using the Ribbon In Excel, using the Ribbon option you can autofit the text by following the given steps: Choose one or all the columns given on the sheet to AutoFit column width. For this, you need to go to the Home tab Cells group Format AutoFit Column Width.
Press Alt + Enter to add another line to the cell. Tip. Keep pressing Alt + Enter until the cursor is where you would like to type your next line of text. Type the next line of text you would like in the cell.
On the Layout tab, in the Cell Size group, click AutoFit, and then click AutoFit Contents. To use the ruler, select a cell in the table, and then drag the markers on the ruler. If you want to see the exact measurement of the column on the ruler, hold down ALT as you drag the marker.

Mouse Shortcut for Copy Paste Select the cells that you want to copy. Hold the Control key. Place the mouse cursor at the edge of the selection (you will notice that the cursor changes into an arrow with a plus sign) Left-click and then drag the selection where you want the cells to be pasted.
