well we can use the regular image element to place images on earth like we usually do the picture element opens up the world of art direction for when were placing images on it so we can actually bring in a different image for on your on a phone a tablet or your desktop computer so when its you know you can go from portrait to landscape and do all sorts of sort of fun stuff like that so heres a fun example from Google where you can see its actually changing the image thats being loaded in based on the screen size now its not doing this with media queries where its hiding one image and showing the other one which you can kill bandwidth because it would have to load in all three images and to show you one at a time using the picture element were actually loading in one image depending on the screen size so this is all done in the markup its not being done at all with CSS and its loading only in the image that it needs to and this is just a fun example of you know the Google th
