hi there in this microsoft office powerpoint video well take a quick look at the outline view so ive got the previous presentation here im just going to quickly close powerpoint without saving ill open it up again blank presentation and im gonna go im gonna choose view here and outline view so what outloud outline view allows me to do is add a bunch of text and depending on what non-printing characters i add to that text itll break the text across my slides so ive got all my text selected in my notepad lets just go ctrl a and ill just bring it in so you can see what im doing so ive got a notepad document with all of my content in it and you see ive got numbers for each slide so that helps when were identifying where our slides begin as well so im going to go ctrl a ctrl c and ill paste that right into outline so when you do that you basically end up with all of the content on one slide which of course is not what you want so at this point i dont pay any attention to wh

On the Format tab, click the Shape Outline drop-down arrow. The Shape Outline menu will appear.
To view an outline: From the View tab, click the Outline View command. An outline of your slide text will appear in the slide navigation pane. You can type directly in the outline to make changes to your slide text.
On the Format tab, select Shape Outline, and choose the color you want for the border. Select Shape Outline again. Use the Weight and Dashes options near the bottom of the menu to select the line thickness and style you want for your border. Drag the handles on the shape to size and position the border on the slide.
Start from a custom template On the left, under Templates, click My Templates. Select a template file and then click Choose. A new presentation opens with the selected template attached to it. Select File Save As and give your presentation a name and choose the folder you want to save it in.
Click the Outline tab from the navigation panel to view and edit your slide shows outline. If you still dont see the Outline tab, hover your mouse over the vertical line on the left side of your screen, click the left mouse button and drag the line to the right until you see the Outline tab appear in the left pane.
On the View tab, in the Presentation Views group, click Normal. In the pane that contains the Outline and Slides tabs, click the Outline tab. On the Outline tab, place the pointer, and then either paste your content or begin typing text.
On the Home tab, click the arrow next to New Slide, and then click Outline.
Outlining Toolbar This toolbar can be displayed by selecting (View Toolbars) and pressing the Outlining command. This toolbar will be docked down the left hand side of the PowerPoint window by default.
