CT KUB this is a plain CT without intravenous contrast and is used for urinary/kidney stone problems. You do not need special preparation for this kind of CT, although it is helpful to have a full bladder so try not to urinate for at least one hour before the scan.
Depending on the nature of the CT KUB scan, you may be asked to fast for a specific period before the procedure. In some cases, you may be advised to drink plenty of water before the CT KUB scan. Adequate hydration can help improve the visibility of the urinary system during the imaging process.
Approximately 90% of urinary stones can be detected in an X-ray of kidney ureter bladder region (X-ray KUB), taken on an empty stomach with thorough preparation. Most comprehensive details of stones can be obtained by doing a non-contrast C.T. scan of the kidney, ureter bladder region (NCCT of KUB).
You need to have a comfortably full bladder and an empty rectum for your CT simulation. You will also need this for all of your radiation treatments. Why do I need to prepare? Having a comfortably full bladder helps move your small (intestines) away from the treatment area.
The connections of the primary winding are labeled K and L or P1 and P2 and the connections of the secondary winding are labeled k and l or S1 and S2. The polarity must be such that the energy flow direction runs from K to L.
