Remember: In all cases a miner must receive no less than 24 hours of new miner training and 8 hours of annual refresher training annually. PPM: The training plan must include all competent persons who will instruct in all subjects, including the name of the person who will provide only one type of task training.
In addition to the eight hours of training, new miners must complete 16 hours of occupational health and safety training within the first 90 days of employment. Your employer will provide additional training hours, which must cover specific safety hazards at the mine.
