In the Pay and Income Tax details section of your P60, youll see three rows of figures. The middle row shows your pay and the tax deducted in this employment. Above it is any income were aware of from your previous employment and at the bottom is the total for the year.
Since 1 January 2019, the P60 is abolished in line with PAYE Modernisation. This means employees no longer receive a P60 at the end of the year from their employer. Instead, a P60 replacement called the Employment Details Summary (EDS) will be made available by Revenue to employees via their myAccount.
The P60 was phased out at the end of 2018, and the Employment Detail Summary has been used since 2019 to provide similar information.
Since 2019, P60 certificates are no longer issued by your employer, as part of PAYE modernisation. Your end of the year statement is now available online (2018 is the final year that you will be issued a P60 from your employer).
Once a key tax document, the so-called P60 (Ireland) was typically issued by employers at the end of a tax year. Taxpayers used their P60 to apply for tax refunds, loan and mortgage applications and other queries relating to pay and tax.
