IFTA is an agreement among states in the United States and provinces in Canada that simplifies the fuel use tax reporting for motor carriers that travel both inside and outside California.

Can I drive without IFTA sticker in Texas?

Operating a qualified motor vehicle without a copy of the original IFTA license may subject a licensee to citations and fines, and the licensee may be required to purchase a fuel trip permit each time the vehicle enters a member jurisdiction. We do not issue temporary IFTA licenses.

How do I get my IFTA decal in Texas?

You will need to apply for a Texas IFTA license. Once your application for a license is approved, youll receive one license and two IFTA decals for each registered vehicle. Every vehicle in your fleet must keep a copy of the license in the cab, as well as one IFTA decal displayed on each side of the cabs exterior.

How do I get an IFTA sticker in IL?

Once you have your USDOT number, access MyTax Illinois to apply for IFTA registration and decals. For IFTA-specific questions, call 217 785-1397 weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The application approval or denial process usually takes a few days.

How do I get my IFTA sticker in Ohio?

IFTA applications can be found here. Once completed, submit it electronically via the Online Notice Response System, email it to IFTA@tax.ohio.gov, or fax it to (206) 984-4145. A temporary operating authority can be requested on the application to keep in your vehicle until you receive your decals.
