Typically, youll receive the IFTA License and Decals or a Denial Letter within a week. Taxpayers may opt to provide a pre-paid overnight label to cut down on the mail time. Prepaid overnight labels must be for the taxpayers Illinois physical address and emailed to rev.ifta@illinois.gov.
You must apply online for your Illinois IFTA license. There is a $3.75 fee for each set of decals. You will need one set per qualified vehicle. Credentials will be mailed within 24 hours and you should receive them within a week.
Acquiring IFTA stickers is a relatively simple process: Fill out an application with your home states department of transportation. Once approved, IFTA decals will be issued and mailed for the current year. A temporary license and IFTA decal permit can be printed in the meantime.
There are no fees associated with IFTA registration, licenses or decals. The minimum penalty is $50 or 10 percent of your total tax liability, whichever is greater. The minimum penalty applies to all late reports including no operations, no tax due and credit reports.

When will I receive my sticker? If you are not replating, you should receive your renewal sticker in 5 to 10 business days. If you are replating and keeping your current plate number on your new plates, you will receive a Temporary Renewal Sticker in 5-10 business days.
Each qualified motor vehicle must have one set of IFTA decals.
