If youre a full-year resident with an annual Massachusetts gross income of more than $8,000, you must file a Massachusetts tax return.
There is no state-specific form to request an extension, as the state of Massachusetts automatically provides the extension for up to 6 months for businesses to file an income tax return with the state. It does not mean that it accepts federal extension.
The corporate tax return is generally due by the 15th day of the fourth month following the end of the corporations tax year. See the Instructions for Form 1120, U.S. Corporation Income Tax Return for due dates and exceptions to due dates.

Keep in mind that even if your company has made a loss, or if you have no corporation tax to pay, you still need to file. The deadline for filing is 12 months after the end of the accounting period the return covers.
