Any licensee who has received a 4-year degree in real estate from an accredited institution of higher education is exempt from the post-license education requirement. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is required to monitor continuing education of all real estate and appraisal licensees.
For all subsequent renewals, licensees whose license expires on or after January 1, 2023 must complete as part of their required 45-hours of CE, a nine-hour CE survey course that includes topics in ethics, agency, trust fund handling, fair housing risk management, management and supervision, and implicit bias.
Licenses may also be renewed by completing and submitting all of the items listed below: Salesperson Renewal Application (RE 209) , Broker Renewal Application (RE 208) , or Corporation Officer Renewal Application (RE 207) Continuing Education Course Verification (RE 251) Applicable fee.
Late renewal fees are 150% of on-time fees. Also, all continuing education courses must be completed within 4 years of the date the late renewal application is filed. An individual who holds a conditionally suspended salesperson license may not renew the license on a late basis.
