Though not a formal medical diagnosis, high-functioning ADHD in adults describes people with symptoms of (undiagnosed) ADHD that do not significantly impair their day-to-day activities. [1] Symptoms can include challenges when trying to focus, managing time, and impulsivity.
A standardized measure called a T-score helps your doctor compare your results. When your T-score is less than 60, it usually means you dont have ADHD. A score higher than 60 may indicate ADHD. And a T-score higher than 70 means your ADHD symptoms are more serious.
The Wender scale assesses childhood symptoms associated with ADHD, e.g., concentration problems, being easily distracted. It consists of 61 items that are rated on a -point scale with anchors of 1 =Not at all or very slightly and 5 = Very much. The scale has good reliability for adults (18).
The cumulative score spans from 0 to 100. A cutoff score of 36 or higher was able to accurately identify 96% of adults with ADHD and 96% of adults without ADHD. When the cutoff score was raised to 46 or higher, the assessment was able to accurately identify 86% of adults with ADHD and 99% of adults without ADHD.
ing to Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), ADHD rating scale test questions often use a scale from either 0 to 3 or 0 to 4. On the scale, 0 means the behavior never happens, while 3 or 4 means it occurs frequently.

On the Snap-IV scale, teachers can rate a child who scores above 2.56 as inattentive. For parents, the figure is 1.78. A score on the hyperactive and impulsive questions of 1.78 for teachers and 1.44 for parents indicates a need for further investigation for ADHD.
