PSRS benefits are subject to federal income taxes, and Missouri income taxes if you live in Missouri.
If you are a Class T-D member, you will receive an annual retirement benefit based on a 2.5% multiplier. The service eligible for this higher multiplier is school service.
Age 60 with at least five years of service.
Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLAs) The January 2025 COLA is 2%. Current Missouri law states that COLAs cannot exceed 5% per year and the dollar amount of the COLAs in your lifetime cannot exceed 80% of your original monthly retirement benefit.
All eligible retirees would receive a COLA beginning July 1, 2025 and every subsequent three years. The COLA will be determined by using the average percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumer (CPI-U) for the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland area.
