VT Schedule IN-113 is a form used by residents of Vermont to report their income and calculate their income tax liability.
This includes paying rent for a home, apartment, land for your mobile home, or similar property. This does NOT include mortgage payments for a property you have purchased. You did not live with another person for more than half the year (such as a parent) who claimed you as a dependent in 2024.

The Vermont Property Tax Credit assists homeowners with paying their property taxes. The maximum credit is $8,000, with a maximum of $5,600 for the education property tax portion and $2,400 for the municipal property tax portion.
You can file the Renter Credit Claim along with your Vermont income tax return, or file it separately. You can file the claim through your preferred online tax software, directly in myVTax, or by using the paper form, RCC-146.
