Exam Tips Be sure to schedule and take your exam within 12 months of application approval. Select an appropriate test center that meets geographical needs. Systematically review content. Carefully review the content outline in the handbook for each exam you wish to take. Relate pathophysiology to nursing care.
Each exam contains 120 multiple-choice questions, ten of which do not count toward your final score, and you will be given two hours to complete each exam.
Receive passing score of 70% or greater on the WCC exam. Receive a passing score of 85% or greater on the NWCC exam. For Qualified candidates, a proctored paper and pencil examination is available onsite following our Skin and Wound Care Training Course.
The wound certification examination and credentials are provided by a national inter-disciplinary docHubing board for healthcare professionals involved in wound care. CNAs with three years of clinical experience and at least a high school diploma are eligible to take the national wound care certification examination.
