While Division III schools do not offer athletics scholarships, 75 percent of Division III student-athletes receive some form of merit or need-based financial aid. If you are planning to attend a Division III school, only college-bound international student-athletes need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
Theres no NLI (National Letter of Intent) in D3. Any commitment is verbal and non-binding. This also gives you flexibility to decide where to go based on the best financial aid package and overall fit.
Student athletes must register with the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Center to be eligible to play NCAA Division I or Division II sports in college. (Athletes playing in NCAA Division III do not have to register. The NCAA publishes an annual Guide for the College-Bound Student Athlete.
