A student who does not meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal policy is considered ineligible for financial aid. However, they may submit an appeal if they have a documented extenuating circumstace that prevented them from meeting the SAP policy.
This may include a doctors statement, copy of hospital/urgent care/physicians bill, obituary, funeral notice or death certificate. Sample Letters Important Reminder: These are merely sample letters. An SAP appeal letter should contain information on what happened and why it caused you to fall behind in your studies. Your SAP appeal letter should also include what has changed and why you now expect to be able to meet the requirements moving forward.
