all the time i mean first of all we we dont even have signs on our buildings youre supposed to like sort of wonderfully know where youre gonna go without a sign being on a building so i think theres lots of ways theres hidden knowledge here at duke that we kind of keep our our guests guessing and once youre in the know you feel good about it but um i dont think its particularly welcoming in in that way we use a lot of acronyms without explanation um so these are things when students ask me im more than willing to answer these questions or even i have an acronym cheat sheet ill send them so they know what what sdao is which you know what the arc is whats aac like we just speak in this in this soup of letters and so um i think theres a lot of things at duke where we have sort of hidden knowledge that once you know it it doesnt seem so off-putting but if you dont know it can be really intimidating so i also try and do that with first-year students just normalize question ask

Instructors and TAs are not able to see their evaluation reports until they have turned in grades. The evaluation reports they are provided contain aggregated information and no specific responses or ratings can be traced back to individual students.
