Can I change my name online? No. To change your name you must bring the original certified legal document that authorizes the name change (i.e. marriage certificate, court order, adoption decree, etc.) to a driver license station for a new license/ID with your new name, signature and photo.
You must file for a name change in the county in which you presently live and are a resident, regardless of where you were born. Individuals 18 years of age and over may change their names without parental consent. You must have a Birth Certificate and proof of identity and residency.
