To be eligible for Option 6 certification, candidates must hold at least a bachelors degree from an accredited institution. The degree does not need to be in education; any bachelors degree and content area will work, as long as the degree was earned from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
In order to apply, you must hold a bachelors degree, have an offer of employment from a local school district in the area of certification you received, successfully complete all training requirements for the Teach for America program and pass all content assessments required by the Education Professional Standards
