In order to receive a bona fide determination, the principal petitioner must satisfy these two major requirements (as noted just above): the initial evidence required, and a successful background check.
To obtain your bonafide certificate, you need to submit a written request to the head of your school or institution. Along with the request, you should include an identity proof document, such as a school ID card or a fee receipt.
To qualify for bona fide residence, you must reside in a foreign country for an uninterrupted period that includes an entire tax year. An entire tax year is from January 1 through December 31 for taxpayers who file their income tax returns on a calendar year basis.
Registration Process. Associations wishing to be recognized as Bona Fide Association must ANNUALLY complete the Bona Fide Association Registration Form and provide current association bylaws to CalHR on or about July 1 each year. Registration documents shall be submitted to lr.info@calhr.ca.gov.
